How to know when your liver is bad?

My brother's liver condition recently worsened, and it made me think about my own health. I sometimes feel tired and my digestion is a bit off. What are some signs or symptoms that indicate your liver might not be functioning well?

Beta, liver hamare sharir ka bada zaroori ang hai. Agar peeliya ho, ya bahut thakaan lage, pet mein dard ho, toh shaq hota hai. Pehle toh paani zyada piyo aur halka khana khao. Lekin agar lagatar takleef ho, toh doctor ko dikhana hi padega. Home remedies sirf shuruaati araam dete hain.

This is a bit scary to think about. I'm not sure what to look for. Is it like, if your skin turns yellow? Or do you just feel really tired all the time? What kind of tests do doctors do for this?

You can't really self-diagnose a bad liver accurately. While general tiredness and digestion issues might suggest something is off, severe symptoms like yellow skin/eyes (jaundice), dark urine, swelling in legs/ankles, or persistent abdominal pain absolutely need immediate medical attention. For general health, I prefer natural things like amla and aloe vera, but for liver issues, only a doctor can properly check.

I totally get why you'd be asking this, liver problems can be silent sometimes. But when symptoms do show, they can be serious. Look out for yellowing of skin/eyes, extreme fatigue, swelling in your abdomen or legs, dark urine, or very pale stools. If you notice any of these, please see a doctor immediately.

My neighbour's child had a liver issue, and one of the first things they noticed was extreme lethargy and loss of appetite, then yellow eyes. It's not something to take lightly. If you suspect anything, don't wait. Get a proper check-up done immediately for peace of mind and timely treatment.

My doctor at Apollo always says early signs can be vague, like general fatigue or nausea. But clearer signs of liver damage include jaundice (yellow skin/eyes), dark urine, swelling in your legs/abdomen, easy bruising, or chronic itching. Don't hesitate to clearly tell your doctor all your symptoms and ask for a liver function test if you're concerned.

Oh, this question makes me anxious because liver issues can be so subtle initially! I always overthink every little ache. But I guess for liver, really look out for jaundice, very dark urine, and constant abdominal pain. And if you're worried like me, just get a general health check-up, especially a liver function test. It's better to know.

Dude, don't just Google it and freak out, haan? If you're really worried, like if your eyes are looking yellow, or you're always tired, or having weird stomach pains, just go to a doc. They'll do a simple blood test and tell you everything. It's better than stressing over unknown.

I once felt very tired for months and had some digestive issues, and my aunt kept telling me it must be my liver. But when I went to the doctor, it turned out to be something else entirely. So, from my experience, it's impossible to know without a doctor's check-up and tests.
