How to know if you have arthritis in your shoulder?

My shoulder has been aching and feeling very stiff, especially when I try to lift my arm. My father had issues with his joints as he got older, and I'm wondering if this could be arthritis. What signs should I look for to know if I have arthritis in my shoulder?

Oh my god, I sometimes get a dull ache in my shoulder when I lift my arm high. And it clicks too! Is that what you guys are experiencing? It makes me so nervous thinking it could be something serious like arthritis. Has anyone else felt this?

Shoulder pain, especially if it limits your movement, can really affect your mood and daily life. It's frustrating when you can't do simple things like reaching for something or getting dressed without pain. It's okay to feel down about it, but please seek help from a doctor.

I had shoulder stiffness for months and kept thinking it was just a frozen shoulder from sleeping wrong. I ignored it until the pain became unbearable. When I finally went to the doctor, they said it was quite bad. Please, if you have persistent pain or trouble moving your arm, don't wait. Get it checked.

Hmm, interesting question. I sometimes get shoulder pain after working out, but it usually goes away. But if it's constant, and you can't lift your arm or it feels stiff, especially in the morning, then I guess that's when you should really worry. Good to know what to look out for.

Beti, agar kandha bohot dard kare, haath uthane mein takleef ho, ya fir subah-subah akda hua lage, toh samajh lo kuch toh baat hai. Hamare gaon mein toh log garam tel ki malish karte hain, par agar zyada ho toh doctor saab ko hi dikhana chahiye. Apne shareer ka khayal rakho.

Sometimes our body gives us signals. If your shoulder feels restricted, and certain movements like reaching overhead or behind your back become difficult, it's a sign to pay attention. Gentle stretches and pranayama can help with flexibility, but for a diagnosis, a medical professional is best.

If your shoulder pain is stopping you from doing your regular workouts or even daily tasks, that's a big sign. Pay attention to if the pain is worse after activity or at night. While nutrition and targeted exercises can help manage joint health, for a proper diagnosis of arthritis, you need to see a sports medicine doctor or orthopedist.

I've tried hot packs, cold packs, turmeric paste, everything for shoulder pain. While these can help with minor aches, if you have stiffness that lasts longer than an hour in the morning, swelling, or a grinding sensation, it's not something to just self-treat. You really need a doctor's opinion for something like arthritis.

I literally just went through this! My shoulder was constantly aching and I couldn't even lift my arm to comb my hair properly. It felt stiff every morning. My doctor did an X-ray and confirmed it wasn't serious arthritis, but they gave me exercises and meds. So if you feel similar, get it checked, don't suffer alone.

My orthopaedic doctor explained that shoulder arthritis often presents as deep, aching pain in the joint, especially with movement. You might also notice stiffness, particularly after rest, and a reduced range of motion. They also look for crackling or grinding sounds when moving the arm. An X-ray or MRI is usually needed for a definitive diagnosis.

If your shoulder keeps hurting and you can't even play sports or lift your backpack properly, then it's kinda obvious something's up, right? My physio told me that persistent pain and limited range of motion are key signs. So if it's really bad, go get it checked, yaar.

Yes, persistent pain and stiffness are the main indicators. A doctor visit is definitely the right step.
