How to know if you have arthritis in your fingers?

My fingers have become quite stiff and swollen lately, and it's hard to bend them fully. My mother had arthritis in her hands, and I'm worried I'm developing it too. How do you know if you have arthritis in your fingers?

Fingers mein arthritis matlab, subah uthne par fingers bahut stiff lagte hain, ho na? Aur dard bhi hota hai jab kuch pakadte hain. Joints swollen bhi ho sakte hain. Ye sab common signs hain. Agar aise kuch ho toh doctor ko dikhana chahiye, haan.

Arthritis in fingers typically presents with joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, particularly noticeable in the mornings or after periods of inactivity. You might also experience reduced grip strength, difficulty with fine motor tasks, and sometimes visible deformities in the finger joints. While these are strong indicators, a rheumatologist or orthopaedic specialist will confirm the diagnosis through clinical examination, X-rays, and specific blood tests.

If your finger joints are constantly stiff, painful, or swollen, especially after waking up, don't ignore it. When I had a similar concern, I went to a good hospital. The doctor there ordered X-rays and some blood tests to check for inflammatory markers. It's best to get a clear diagnosis from a specialist.

Beta, agar subah uthne par ungliyan akad jaati hain, kuch pakadne mein dard hota hai, aur sujan bhi rehti hai, toh yeh jodon ke dard (arthritis) ki nishani ho sakti hai. Thodi garam paani ki seek (hot compress) se aaram milta hai. Lekin agar bahut takleef ho, toh doctor ko dikhana hi padega. Umar ke saath yeh sab hota hai, par dhyan rakhna chahiye.
