How to know if you have a high pain tolerance?

I injured my knee last week, and while it hurt, I felt I managed the pain pretty well without much fuss. My friends often say I have a high pain tolerance, but how do you actually know if you have one?

Bhai, agar tum chot lagne par bhi ro na rahe ho, ya zyada takleef na dikhao, toh matlab tumhare andar himmat hai. Humare gaon mein toh log khet mein kaam karte hain, chot lagti hai phir bhi muskuraate hain. Agar tumhe chote mote dard se zyada farak nahi padta, toh tumhara pain tolerance achha hai.

High pain tolerance? My alarm clock in the morning is proof I have zero! 😂 But seriously, if you can get through tough workouts, period cramps, or a headache without needing meds, and you're still smiling, you probably have it. I just try to survive my day on 4 hours of sleep.

Aapko kaise pata chalega matlab, you can generally do things that others find very painful, ho na? Like waxing without much reaction, or continuing your daily work with a headache. Often people around you might point it out. But pain is subjective, so don't compare too much, haan.

For me, managing PCOS symptoms often means dealing with discomfort, so I might have developed a higher tolerance for certain kinds of pain. You might notice it if you can function relatively normally with pain that others find debilitating, or if you don't react as strongly to minor injuries. But it's also important to differentiate between high tolerance and ignoring pain that needs medical attention.

I always wonder if I have a high pain tolerance or if I'm just good at hiding it. Does anyone else feel like they can push through discomfort without really complaining, even if it hurts? Or do you just know because others react more strongly to things you find mild?

In the gym, I see people reacting very differently to the same weight. If you can push through intense workouts, manage muscle soreness better than others, or just shrug off minor injuries that would send someone else to the bench, you likely have a high pain tolerance. It's about your body's ability to cope and continue.

Mere toh bachpan se aise hi hai. Chot lag jaati thi, toh rokti nahi thi. Agar aapko thoda sa dard ya takleef ho, aur aap usko jhel pao bina zyada pareshan hue, toh matlab aapka pain tolerance achha hai. Log aksar kehte hain 'kitna bardasht kar leti ho'. Haldi doodh bhi kaam aata hai chote mote dard mein.

High pain tolerance? Maybe if you can eat super spicy food without breaking a sweat, that's a different kind of tolerance! 😂 But for body pain, if you can still enjoy your meals and go about your day even with some aches, while others are suffering, you probably have a decent pain threshold.
