How to know if u have pcos?

My periods have been very irregular for the past few months and I'm also noticing some weight gain, especially around my belly. My friend said these could be signs of PCOS, so I'm wondering how one actually confirms if they have it.

PCOS? Oh, I know that one. My periods are a mess, I'm always tired even after sleeping like a log (or trying to), and the breakouts are real. Plus, the hair growth in weird places? Yeah. But seriously, see a doc, they'll do scans and blood tests, don't rely on my tired self-diagnosis!

PCOS can affect many things, not just periods. It can also increase risk for other conditions like high blood pressure, which I manage. If you have irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, or unexplained weight gain, it's best to get it checked by a gynecologist. Regular checkups are key for overall health.

I remember panicking when my periods became super irregular. I thought it was something very serious. But after consulting a doctor, it was diagnosed as PCOS, which is quite common. Don't worry too much. The signs are usually irregular periods, acne, and sometimes weight gain. A quick ultrasound and blood tests will tell you.

Agar periods regular nahi hain, ya chehre pe bahut daane aa rahe hain, aur baal zyada ug rahe hain, toh PCOS ka doubt ho sakta hai. Diet change, yoga, isse thoda farak padta hai. Lekin pakka pata karne ke liye toh doctor ke paas jaana hi padega. Woh test karte hain tabhi confirm hota hai.

My gynaecologist explained that PCOS diagnosis relies on at least two out of three criteria: irregular periods (oligomenorrhea/amenorrhea), signs of excess androgen (like hirsutism, severe acne, male-pattern hair loss), and polycystic ovaries on ultrasound. Blood tests for hormones like testosterone and FSH/LH ratios are also often done. It's a complex endocrine disorder.
