Feeling really feverish and weak for the last two days, and my body is aching a lot. There have been some dengue cases in my area. How can I tell if these symptoms might be pointing towards dengue?

Hey! Dengue is really scary. If you have a sudden high fever, really bad headaches, severe pain behind your eyes, muscle and joint pain (they call it 'breakbone fever' for a reason!), and a rash, then it could be dengue. Definitely get a blood test done if you have these symptoms, and stay super hydrated!
Dengue symptoms are quite distinct. Look for sudden high fever, severe headache, intense muscle and joint pain, and sometimes a rash. Unlike a regular fever, the body aches are usually much worse. While I advocate for regular thyroid checkups, for dengue, an immediate blood test (NS1 antigen or IgM/IgG) is crucial for diagnosis and proper management. Don't delay.
If you feel like your bones are breaking and your head is hosting a rock concert, all while having a super high fever, then it's probably dengue. My body already feels like it's falling apart on a good day, so when dengue hits, it's unmistakable. Go get tested, don't just suffer like me, haha!
Dengue symptoms can be quite severe. A high fever that comes on suddenly, extreme body pain, headache, and sometimes a rash are typical. Hydration is key, so plenty of fluids and nutritious, easily digestible food is important. But for diagnosis, a blood test is a must. Consult a doctor immediately.
Dengue is no joke. The classic signs are very high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain (known as 'breakbone fever'), and fatigue. You might also get a rash a few days into the fever. If these symptoms appear, especially after mosquito bites, get an NS1 antigen test done immediately. Early detection helps a lot.
