How to know if it's back pain or kidney?

Since last week, I've had a dull ache in my lower back, mostly on the sides. My mother had kidney stones, so I'm a bit concerned. How can I differentiate if it's just regular back pain or something related to my kidneys?

It's tricky to differentiate, honestly. For any persistent pain in that area, it's safer to get it checked. Kidney pain is usually higher up in the back, below the ribs, and often feels like a constant, dull ache that can spread. Regular back pain might feel more muscular and get better with rest or position changes. But please, consult a doctor to be sure, don't self-diagnose.

When the body gives signals of pain, listen with care. Kidney pain often feels deeper, higher up in the back, and can be quite intense. General back pain might feel more superficial and muscular. Seek guidance from a medical professional for clarity. Stay positive and care for your sacred vessel.

Hey! So, my doctor told me that kidney pain usually feels like a dull, constant ache in your upper back, closer to your ribs, or on your sides, and it might not get better with movement. Regular back pain is often lower, feels muscular, and can change with how you sit or move. If you also have fever, nausea, or changes in your pee, it's more likely kidneys. Better to see a doc!

Dude, sometimes my back hurts so much from bad posture and lack of sleep, I wonder if my organs are rebelling! But jokes aside, kidney pain is generally a deeper, constant ache in your upper back, near the sides, and can come with other stuff like fever or peeing issues. My normal back pain just feels like a muscle cramp. If you're not sure, just go to the doctor, don't lose sleep over it like me!

Ah, this confusion is common. When I was younger, I also had back pain. Kidney pain usually sits higher up, right under your ribs, and feels more internal, often constant. Regular back pain is more lower back and changes with how you sit or stand. If you have fever or any burning while passing urine, get it checked, don't worry unnecessarily but be careful.

Hello! It can be hard to tell the difference. Kidney pain is typically a constant, dull ache located higher up on your back, on one or both sides, just below the ribs. It doesn't usually get better or worse with movement. Muscular back pain, on the other hand, is often lower, can be sharp or stabbing, and changes with movement or position. If you have fever, nausea, or changes in urine, definitely consult a doctor. Better safe than sorry!
