How to know if i have ovary pain vs hernia?

I've been having some pain in my lower abdomen, sometimes on one side. My neighbour mentioned it could be ovary pain, but then someone else said maybe a hernia. How do you tell the difference between ovary pain and a hernia?

Look, if you're feeling pain in your lower belly area, especially if it's new or sharp, don't try to guess between ovary pain or hernia. Both need proper medical attention. Ovary pain might be more cyclical or with other period symptoms, while a hernia might feel like a bulge and pain when you strain. But seriously, go to a doctor. They'll know.

This is a situation where you absolutely must see a doctor. Differentiating between ovary pain and a hernia is not something you can reliably do on your own, as both can cause pain in the lower abdomen. A doctor will perform an examination and recommend necessary tests for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Don't delay for something potentially serious.

You really need to get this checked by a GYN at a good hospital. Clearly explain all your symptoms – when the pain started, its nature (sharp, dull, throbbing), if it's on one side or central, if it comes with swelling or other symptoms. They will do an ultrasound or other tests to confirm. Don't be shy, ask all your questions.

It's completely normal to feel anxious when you have pain and don't know the cause, especially around sensitive areas. Ovary pain can be dull or sharp, sometimes linked to your cycle. A hernia might involve a bulge and pain that worsens with movement or coughing. But honestly, for this kind of distinction, please consult a doctor. They will reassure you and find the right answer.

For something like this, a doctor's visit is non-negotiable. Just like regularly checking BP, internal pains need proper diagnosis. Ovary pain is usually more internal and might be cyclical, while a hernia often has a visible or palpable bulge and pain that worsens with strain. Your doctor will do an examination and recommend tests like an ultrasound to be sure.

Hmm, this sounds way more complex than figuring out if I want biryani or pizza! Ovary pain is usually felt deeper inside and might correlate with your menstrual cycle. A hernia sometimes has a visible lump or swelling, and pain increases with strain. But definitely, this is a 'see a doctor right away' situation, not a 'guess-what-I-ate-yesterday' one. Get it checked!

Well, unless you're a superhero with X-ray vision, you probably can't tell the difference yourself! 😂 Ovary pain might feel like a deep ache and could be related to your period, while a hernia might come with a weird bulge you can feel, especially when you cough. But seriously, leave the detective work to the doctors and get it checked out!
