How to know if dandruff is fungus?

I've had dandruff for a while, and sometimes it gets really itchy and my scalp feels irritated. My friend told me it might be a fungal infection and not just regular dry dandruff. How can I tell the difference, actually?

Honestly, so many internet remedies for dandruff, but how do you know what's actually causing it? If you suspect it's fungal, better to see a dermatologist. They can confirm and give you the right antifungal shampoo or treatment, instead of just guessing and wasting time with home remedies that might not work.

If your dandruff is really bad, like very itchy and causing redness, and doesn't go away with simple remedies like neem oil or curd, then it's wise to get it checked. It could be fungal, and for that, a doctor can give proper medicine. Sometimes home remedies are not enough, haan.

Haan, fungul dandruff, it's called Malassezia na? If your dandruff is really stubborn, yellow-ish flakes, and your scalp is super itchy and maybe a bit red, then it could be fungal. The regular anti-dandruff shampoos don't always work for this, so you might need something specific from a doc.

I used to have really bad dandruff, and I always thought it was just dry scalp. My friend, who is a doctor, mentioned it could be fungal if it was very itchy and yellow-ish. I tried some over-the-counter anti-fungal shampoo and it really helped. But it's always best to get a proper diagnosis from a professional.

Stay positive, dear. Sometimes our skin issues are reflections of stress. For dandruff, if it's very persistent and bothersome, gently observe if there's any particular redness or inflammation. Trust your intuition, and if it feels serious, consult a doctor. Take care of your well-being.

Oh, fungal dandruff can be quite stubborn! I always worry about these things. If your scalp is very red, inflamed, and super itchy, and the flakes are more yellowish and oily rather than dry, it's a good indication. Do get it checked by a dermatologist for proper treatment. Hope it clears up soon!

Dandruff can be quite annoying. Just like with BP, consistency is key, even with hair. If it's very persistent and not responding to regular treatments, definitely consult a dermatologist. They can identify if it's fungal or another issue and guide you. Don't take it lightly.

If your dandruff is chunky, yellowish, and your scalp is red and inflamed, especially if it gets worse with sweating or humidity, it's likely fungal (seborrheic dermatitis). Regular zinc pyrithione shampoos help, but if not, see a dermatologist. They'll prescribe a ketoconazole shampoo or something stronger.
