How to know id you have diabetes?

My father has diabetes, so I'm always a bit worried about myself. I sometimes feel very thirsty and tired. How can one know if they have diabetes without actually going for a test every time?

Ah, the new 'national disease'! If you're suddenly peeing like a racehorse, always thirsty, and feel tired even after a full night's sleep, then it's time to stop joking around and go get a blood test. Fasting sugar and HbA1c, that's what the doc will say. Better safe than sorry, my friend!

If you suspect diabetes, the first step is definitely to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. They'll do blood tests like fasting blood sugar, post-prandial (after meal) blood sugar, and HbA1c. Symptoms like excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, or blurred vision are red flags. Regular exercise is great for prevention but not for diagnosis.

Please, if you have any doubts, do not try to self-diagnose. Diabetes can lead to serious complications if not managed early. The only way to definitively know if you have it is through blood tests ordered by a doctor – like fasting blood sugar, post-meal sugar, and HbA1c. Get tested and follow medical advice.

Early signs can be things like constant thirst, peeing a lot, feeling super tired, or even sudden weight loss. If you notice any of these, don't just dismiss them. Get a blood test done - fasting glucose and HbA1c are key. Good diet and exercise help manage it, but a diagnosis needs a doc.

My father always says that in our family, we have to be careful about sugar. So, if you are feeling very thirsty, losing weight without trying, or having to use the restroom frequently, please go to a doctor. They will do a blood test and tell you properly. Always trust the doctor for diagnosis.

The most reliable way to know if you have diabetes is through specific blood tests. Look out for symptoms like increased thirst and urination, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or blurred vision. If you experience these, consult a doctor for blood sugar tests and an HbA1c. Self-diagnosis can be misleading.

So you wanna know if you've joined the 'sugar-free tea' club, huh? Kidding! But seriously, if you're suddenly downing gallons of water, visiting the washroom every hour, or feeling like a zombie, it's time to get a blood test. Your doctor will do the magic tests like fasting and HbA1c to confirm. Don't worry, just get checked!
