How to keep from getting diabetes?

My father has diabetes, and I'm worried about developing it myself as I get older. What lifestyle changes or precautions can I take now to keep from getting diabetes in the future?

Look, internet pe bahut log kuch bhi bolte hain. Don't just follow random tips. The best way is to talk to a doctor or a nutritionist. They can give you proper guidance based on your family history and lifestyle. Self-medication or self-diagnosis is risky, boss.

Honestly, same! My dadi had it, and now I'm always thinking about it. For me, trying to eat more whole grains and cutting down on sugary drinks has made a big difference. And yes, regular walks are a must. Small changes really add up.

Beti, don't worry too much. My father had diabetes, so I was always scared, but by keeping an eye on my diet and walking daily, I managed. Just simple, regular habits matter most. Thoda meetha kam, thoda exercise zyada, that's it.

Hello, I'm new here and also trying to understand this. So, is it mostly about diet and exercise, or are there specific foods one should totally avoid? I'm trying to make lifestyle changes and any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

It's totally normal to feel anxious about it, especially if it runs in the family. I used to worry so much about every little thing. But focusing on a balanced diet and regular activity, even if it's just 30 mins a day, really helps calm the mind and body. Don't let the fear take over.
