How to jog with asthma?

I love running, but I have asthma, and sometimes when I jog, I get breathless. Are there any specific techniques or precautions I should take to jog comfortably without triggering an attack? I really want to stay active.

Hey! I also have asthma and love jogging. What helps me a lot is doing a good warm-up, like 10-15 mins of brisk walking before I start running. And always keep your inhaler handy, obviously! Don't push yourself too hard initially.

My son has exercise-induced asthma, so I know this struggle. Our doctor told us to make sure he takes his preventive medicine/inhaler 15-20 minutes before starting any physical activity. Also, avoid cold or very dry weather, try to jog when it's milder outside. Breathing exercises also help strengthen his lungs.

Vanakkam! My uncle also has asthma. He always says to start slow and listen to your body. My mother always advises him to drink warm water before and after exercise. But for actual jogging, please talk to your doctor once to get proper guidance, especially about your inhaler use.

Oh, jogging! I try to, but sometimes my cravings win haha. But seriously, for asthma, maybe check if certain foods trigger it? Like some people find dairy makes them wheezy. Not directly related to jogging, but general health helps a lot.

Bro, I get you! I have mild asthma. What works for me is making sure I'm not running too fast, like a comfortable pace. And if the air quality is bad, I just skip it or go to the gym. Don't wanna trigger an attack for nothing.
