How to increase pain tolerance?

I've always felt like I'm very sensitive to pain, even small injuries bother me a lot. Is there something one can do to increase pain tolerance, maybe some exercises or practices?

Physical fitness plays a big role in how you handle discomfort. If your doctor permits, try regular aerobic exercise or jogging. Building physical endurance naturally teaches your mind to push through discomfort and raises your pain threshold.

I used to track my heart rate and stress levels during intense workouts on my fitness watch. I noticed that when I focus on slow, controlled breathing, my heart rate stabilizes and I can tolerate muscle burn much longer. It is all about oxygen flow.

Managing pain is very important, especially when you have conditions like high blood pressure. I practice yoga and mindfulness to keep my stress levels down, which directly helps in managing general body aches. Always keep your BP checked regularly.

After recovering from a major spinal injury, my pain threshold had to change completely. I learned that visualization techniques and progressive muscle relaxation work wonders. You have to train your brain to separate the sensation of pain from fear.

When my thyroid levels were totally off, my body pain was constant and my tolerance level was zero. If you feel unexplained body aches, please get a thyroid profile test done. Getting the right medical treatment made me feel so much stronger.

Look, there is no magic pill to increase pain tolerance. You just have to build mental toughness through daily discipline. Stop complaining about minor aches, keep a strong mind, but obviously don't ignore serious injuries that actually need a doctor.

As you grow older, you realize that pain is often more about your mental state than the body. I have had chronic knee issues for years, and learning to stay calm and practicing deep breathing has helped me manage the discomfort without panic.
