How to increase hrv during sleep?

I've been monitoring my HRV (Heart Rate Variability) with my smartwatch, and it seems to be consistently low, especially while sleeping. I heard higher HRV is good for overall health and stress resilience. What measures can I take to increase HRV during sleep?

No need to buy expensive gadgets or treatments. Just focus on sleeping at the same time daily, keeping your room quiet, and avoiding heavy meals late at night. Simple lifestyle discipline is the best way to improve your recovery.

I track my sleep carefully because of my hormonal issues, and I noticed my HRV improves when I avoid screens before bed. However, everyone's body is different, so try small changes and see what works best for you.

A light, easily digestible vegetarian dinner at least 3 hours before bed works wonders. When your digestive system doesn't have to work overtime, your body relaxes better, which naturally helps increase your overnight HRV. Avoid heavy paneer or fried items at night.

For me, completely cutting out alcohol and caffeine after 2 PM made the biggest difference in my sleep tracking. My resting heart rate dropped and my HRV went up significantly. This was just my personal experience though.

Practicing a few minutes of gratitude or deep breathing before sleeping helps calm the mind and body. Staying positive and letting go of the day's stress is a beautiful way to improve your sleep quality naturally.

Please try to relax and not stress too much about these metrics. Just focus on getting comfortable, sleeping on time, and keeping your mind calm. Your body will slowly balance itself out.
