How to improve sleep apnea?

My wife says I snore very loudly and sometimes stop breathing in my sleep. The doctor suggested I might have sleep apnea. Is there anything I can do at home to improve my sleep apnea symptoms?

Sleep apnea can be a serious issue affecting your cardiovascular health, so relying on home remedies isn't ideal. It is best to consult an ENT specialist or a pulmonologist for a proper sleep study.

Please take care of your health. My uncle had this issue and sleeping on his side instead of his back helped him breathe much more easily.

My fitness tracker kept showing frequent oxygen drops at night, which prompted me to see a doctor. Getting diagnosed and using a CPAP machine has completely transformed my daytime energy levels.

I love my late-night biryani but heavy dinners close to bedtime really worsened my snoring and breathing issues. Keeping dinner light and eating at least 3 hours before bed made a noticeable difference.

Snoring ko log halke me lete hain, ho na? But sleep apnea is serious. Side par sone ki aadat dalo aur doctor se checkup zaroor kara lo.

I ignored my extreme daytime sleepiness for years thinking it was just work stress, until I almost fell asleep while driving. Please get a sleep study done before things get risky.

I agree with sleeping on the side; using a body pillow can help keep you in that position all night.

Practicing daily pranayama and throat-strengthening exercises helped improve my breathing patterns over time. However, these natural practices should complement the medical advice given by your specialist.

I used to get so anxious reading about sleep apnea online because it causes breathing pauses. If you are worried, please book a doctor's appointment instead of self-diagnosing, as it will give you peace of mind.

I am new to this and a bit scared. Does anyone know if a standard dental mouthpiece actually helps with mild snoring and apnea, or is a CPAP machine absolutely necessary?

I visited a specialist at a reputed hospital and they explained the options clearly, from weight loss to using a CPAP machine. Ask your doctor clearly about the severity of your apnea.

In my experience, managing body weight is one of the most effective ways to reduce pressure on the airways. Along with that, avoiding alcohol in the evening helps prevent throat muscles from relaxing too much.
