How to help someone with a migraine?
My sister often gets very bad migraines, and today she's suffering from a really severe one. She's in a lot of pain and can't even open her eyes. What can I do to help her feel some relief?

Honestly the best thing is to just turn off all the lights and become a zombie in a dark room. My head feels like a pressure cooker sometimes, so I just request my family to keep the volume down and let me sleep it off. A cold damp cloth on the forehead helps a lot too, simple but works wonders.
Please be very careful with severe headaches because my sister kept ignoring hers and it turned out to be something that needed proper neuro treatment. If they are vomiting or having vision issues with the migraine, skip the home remedies and take them to a doctor immediately. Regular painkillers can also cause rebound headaches if overused.
A dark, air-conditioned room and absolute quiet are the best immediate supports you can offer. However, self-medicating with OTC pain relievers isn't great in the long run. It is best to consult a neurologist to get a proper prophylactic plan if these attacks are frequent.
I remember panic searching my symptoms on Google during my first bad attack and thinking it was something horrible. Turns out migraine is super common and manageable once you find your triggers. Just keep the room absolutely quiet, give them some water, and let them rest. It usually passes with some quiet time.
I started tracking my attacks on an app and realized my main triggers were dehydration and late screen time. Make sure they drink plenty of water as soon as the aura starts. Also, keeping a sleep tracker helped me regulate my routine, which reduced my attacks by half.
Unko bas aaram karne dijiye aur thoda sa sar daba dijiye agar unhe achha lage. Kamre ke parde gira do aur shor bilkul mat hone dena. Ek garam pyali chai ya thoda thanda pani peene se bhi unko thodi rahat milegi.
Applying a little bit of ginger paste on the temples or drinking warm ginger tea helps ease the nausea that comes with it. But if the pain is very sudden and unbearable like a shock, please go to a clinic. Normal migraine responds well to rest and natural cooling, but red flags need proper doctors.
