How to help sciatica pain while pregnant?

My sciatica pain has flared up quite a bit since I got pregnant, making it hard to sleep and walk. Does anyone have practical advice or tips to help manage sciatica pain while pregnant?

Look, your body is carrying extra weight, so nerve pain happens. Don't take any pain killers on your own; just ask your gynecologist for safe prenatal exercises.

When I had sciatica during my eighth month, sleeping with a long body pillow between my legs really helped take the pressure off my lower back.

I tried hot packs, warm baths, and changing sitting chairs. What worked best was sitting on a firm wooden chair instead of soft sofas and doing very gentle pelvic tilts.

Pregnancy sciatica is usually temporary and caused by the baby's position. It is highly recommended to speak to a certified prenatal physical therapist to get safe, targeted relief.

Keep a peaceful mind and take deep, slow breaths when the pain acts up. Your body is doing a beautiful job, just rest as much as you can and take care.
