How to help sciatica pain?

Been suffering from sciatica pain for a few months now, mostly on my left side. It's like an electric shock sometimes. What are some effective methods to reduce this pain?

My leg decided to mimic a lightning bolt every time I stood up! Trust me, walking like a penguin for a few days and using a hot water bag really does help get things back on track.

Please get an MRI or doctor's consult if the pain radiates down below your knee. I delayed seeing a doctor and ended up needing long-term rehabilitation for a slipped disc.

Avoid sitting on soft, deep couches as they bend your spine and pinch the nerve further. Sit on a firm chair with your feet flat on the floor, and use a cold pack for sudden sharp pain.

My son had severe lower back and leg pain after sports training. We focused on gentle hamstring stretches and warm heat packs twice a day, which helped him recover smoothly.

Aap bhari baalti ya samaan mat uthana bilkul bhi. Pairon ko thoda aaram do aur garm paani ki thaili se sikai karo, jaldi aaram mil jayega.

Finding a sleeping position that doesn't trigger sciatica is a whole workout in itself. Putting a pillow between my knees is the only way I get any rest these days.

I just got over a terrible sciatica flare-up last week. Doing the pigeon stretch gently and walking on flat surfaces for 15 minutes daily really helped my nerve release. Don't sit in one spot for too long.
