How to help sciatic pain?

My lower back pain sometimes shoots down my leg, and my physio said it's probably sciatica. It's really affecting my daily routine and work. Looking for ways to get some relief.

Beta, avoid lifting heavy things and do not bend forward directly from the waist. Lightly massage the lower back with warm mustard oil, but do it very gently without putting too much pressure.

I faced sciatic pain last year and sitting for long hours made it so much worse. Putting a small heating pad on my lower back for fifteen minutes really helped soothe the shooting pain.

Drinking warm turmeric milk at night can help reduce overall inflammation in the body. Make sure your diet has enough calcium and magnesium, but consult a doctor for actual therapeutic treatment.

I tried balms and herbal packs, but what really helped was changing my mattress to a firmer one. Sleep with a pillow under your knees to take the pressure off your sciatic nerve.

Sciatica is incredibly painful and limits daily movement. I hope you get some rest and find relief soon.

That shooting leg pain is just worst, yaar. Actually, a firm mattress and avoiding low chairs worked best for me. Definitely get it checked by a doctor if it doesn't get better.

If you sit all day for office work, use an ergonomic chair and stand up every forty minutes. Sciatica doesn't resolve by sitting, you need active physiotherapy sessions to see real progress.

Please be very careful with sciatic pain. If you experience any numbness in your legs or loss of bladder control, it is a medical emergency; do not try home remedies and consult a doctor immediately.

Alternating between hot and cold packs can help relieve the muscle spasm around the nerve. Keep your posture straight when sitting, and avoid soft, sinking sofas entirely.
