How to help sciatic nerve pain while pregnant?

Since my third trimester started, I've been experiencing really bad sciatic nerve pain in my leg and lower back. It makes walking and sleeping so difficult. What helped you ladies with sciatica during pregnancy?

Sciatic pain during these months is really painful to handle. I hope you get some quiet time to rest your back and feel better soon.

Using a warm compress on the lower back can really help relax the muscles pressing on the nerve. Make sure you don't cross your legs when sitting, as it puts extra pressure on the pelvis.

My cousin had this terrible leg pain during her pregnancy and she found that using a maternity pillow between her knees while sleeping on her side was a total lifesaver.

Tracking my posture and taking hourly screen-breaks helped me manage sciatic pressure. You can also try gentle pelvic tilts, but only after getting a green signal from your gynecologist.

Keep your hydration levels high to prevent additional muscle cramping, but make sure to avoid sugary energy drinks. Stick to plain water or a doctor-approved electrolyte if needed.

My back and legs decided to go on strike during my pregnancy with that sciatic pain. A slow, gentle walk and sitting on a very supportive chair with a cushion was the only way I got through it.
