How to help scalp psoriasis?

I've had scalp psoriasis for years, and it gets really bad, especially in winter. The itching and flaking are constant and quite embarrassing. Are there any effective ways to help manage it at home or natural remedies that work?

The itching keeps me awake more than my late-night work shifts, honestly. I've spent nights just resisting the urge to scratch my head off, but mild oiling helps calm it down a bit.

I totally get how embarrassing the flaking can be when wearing dark shirts. Try using a gentle, fragrance-free coal tar shampoo as suggested by a dermatologist, and avoid hot water.

Sometimes autoimmune skin issues can be linked to other internal imbalances like thyroid problems. It's always best to get routine blood work done alongside your dermatologist visits.

I keep worrying if psoriasis can cause permanent hair loss or spread further. If you are also feeling stressed, please consult a good dermatologist early to get a proper treatment plan.

Haan na, traditional chemical shampoos make the scalp so dry and itchy. Shifting to mild, doctor-prescribed salicylic acid washes works much better to clear the scales gently.

There were days I didn't want to step out of the house because of the flakes. It really takes a toll on your confidence, but please remember you are not alone and it is manageable with the right doctor.
