How to help relieve migraine headaches?

I get these intense migraine headaches sometimes, and they completely knock me out for the day. I'm looking for ways to relieve them when they happen, besides just lying in a dark room. Are there any effective strategies?

Hormones can trigger terrible migraines, which I face quite often. Sitting in a completely dark, quiet room with a cold compress on my forehead helps ease the throbbing. Make sure you don't skip meals as low blood sugar makes it worse.

Migraine pain is really hard to bear. I hope you get some quiet rest in a dark room. Try to drink enough water and rest your eyes.

Regular practice of slow, deep breathing like Anulom Vilom can help calm the nervous system and reduce migraine frequency. Please do it gently in a quiet space daily, but do not push yourself if the pain is already severe.

I used my fitness app to track my migraine triggers and realized they correlate with screen time and poor sleep. Try to set a daily sleep routine and limit blue light exposure in the evenings.

I tried everything from herbal teas to balms, but honestly, a strong cup of black coffee works best if caught early. Apply thin layers of cooling gel patches, but if it is constant, please see a neurologist.

I used to panic thinking my severe headaches were something dangerous, but after tests, the doctor confirmed it was standard migraine. Once you get the right prescription and identify your triggers, it becomes much easier to manage.
