How to help menstrual pain?

My menstrual pain has been quite severe lately, sometimes even making me miss college. I've tried general pain relievers, but I'm wondering if there are other tips or home remedies that can provide better relief. Need help, it's quite bothersome.

My dear, I used to have very painful periods in my youth, but it does get better with time and age. Just rest your body well during these days and drink warm water. Don't push yourself to do hard chores when your body is asking for rest.

Period cramps can be so brutal, honestly. I usually take a warm bath and use a heating pad on my stomach, which helps relax the muscles. If you have to work, try using those disposable heating patches that stick to your clothes.

Does anyone else get severe nausea along with the stomach cramps during their period? It makes me so anxious every month. I just lie down and hope the hot water bag works quickly, but it is so exhausting.

It is completely valid to feel overwhelmed and anxious when the pain gets this intense, as it can feel really scary. Just try to breathe slowly and remember that this phase will pass in a day or two. If you feel too worried, there is no harm in calling your doctor for a safe antispasmodic recommendation.

Please take some rest today and keep a warm water bag on your stomach. I hope the pain subsides very soon.

I have been awake since 3 AM because my uterus decided to throw a tantrum today. Honestly, at this point, only a hot water bag and binging my favorite show is keeping me sane. Don't try to be a hero, just take a sick leave and sleep.

I totally get it, period pain is literally the most exhausting thing to deal with every single month. It just drains all your energy. Please be gentle with yourself, skip any hard tasks, and just curl up in bed with some hot tea.

I used to have crippling pain until I made some lifestyle adjustments. Reducing salt and caffeine a few days before your period starts actually helps reduce bloating and cramps significantly. Also, doing light stretching during the month builds better pelvic muscle resilience.

Staying hydrated is key because dehydration actually makes muscle cramps worse. If you are taking any pain relievers, make sure you take them after food and not on an empty stomach to avoid acidity. If your bleeding is extremely heavy or pain doesn't stop, go consult your gynecologist.

Beta, in our days we used to drink warm milk with a little turmeric or warm fennel (saunf) water during our cycle. It keeps the stomach warm and brings gentle relief. Do not drink very cold water and keep your feet covered and warm.
