How to help infant with fever?

My 9-month-old has a high fever since morning and is very cranky. I've given him paracetamol, but I'm worried. Are there any other things I can do at home to help bring his fever down and make him more comfortable?

When our kids had a mild fever, we would use a clean cloth damp with room-temperature water to gently wipe their forehead and body. Keep the room airy and don't bundle them up in too many blankets. Please make sure to contact your pediatrician for the correct dose of medicine.

Fever in babies can turn any parent into a night watchman! Just keep them in light, breathable cotton clothes so their body can cool down. And hey, don't worry, babies are much tougher than we think, but do call your doc just to be safe!

Since the little one can't have solid treats yet, keeping up with breastfeeds or formula is super important to keep their strength up. A hydrated baby fights off fever much faster. Keep feeding them frequently and check with their doctor.

I agree with keeping the baby hydrated. Offering small, frequent feeds of breast milk or formula is the best way to help them recover.

Never guess the fever level by touching; use a digital thermometer to measure it properly. If the infant is under 3 months and has a fever, or if the temperature is high, don't wait for home remedies—go straight to the doctor immediately.

My six-month-old baby had a fever last week due to a viral infection. We kept him hydrated with frequent breast milk feeds and monitored his temperature every hour. The pediatrician prescribed paracetamol drops based on his weight, which brought the fever down.
