How to help infant sleep?

My 6-month-old is really struggling with sleep during the day and even at night. She keeps waking up every hour or so, and I'm constantly tired. Is there anything I can do to help her sleep better?

I was researching this for my sister's newborn, and apparently, keeping a consistent bedtime routine like a warm bath or soft music helps. Do you find that a darker room works better, or do babies prefer some ambient light?

I always recommend consulting your pediatrician at a good hospital about your baby's sleep patterns. Ask them clearly about the ideal feeding schedule before bedtime so the baby doesn't wake up hungry. Don't follow unverified online advice for infants.

As a mother with thyroid issues, managing sleepless nights was extremely exhausting for me and affected my health. Make sure you keep your own health and thyroid levels in check while taking care of the baby, and discuss the baby's sleep with their doctor.

In our days, we used to gently pat the baby to sleep on our chest or put them in a soft cotton swing. A full stomach and a dry, clean diaper are usually all an infant needs to sleep peacefully. Be patient, they will adjust to a schedule soon.

I know how stressful and exhausting it is when your baby won't sleep, it can really make you feel like you are doing everything wrong. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed. Speak to your pediatrician for reassurance; you are doing a great job.

I help my cousin with her baby sometimes, and white noise works like absolute magic to calm the kid down. You can find free white noise tracks online. Definitely worth a try if nothing else is working!

We just went through this sleepless phase with our four-month-old. What finally worked was tracking her wake windows and putting her down before she got overtired. Try to keep the room cool as babies sleep much better when they aren't feeling too warm.

Creating a calm environment is very important. Keep the room quiet, dim the lights, and try swaddling your baby snugly in a breathable cotton cloth. Always ensure the baby is sleeping on their back to keep them safe.
