How to help hip bursitis pain?

I've been having a lot of pain around my hip bone, especially when I lie on my side or walk for a long time. My doctor said it's hip bursitis. Are there any exercises or home remedies to help with this pain?

When my doctor diagnosed my hip pain, he advised me to stop high-impact running and switch to gentle walking on flat surfaces. Make sure you don't push through the pain. Let the inflammation settle down before starting any new stretching routine.

People on the internet will tell you to stretch and massage it, but that can actually inflame the bursa even more. Hip bursitis needs proper rest and sometimes specific medical treatment. Go to an orthopedic doctor instead of experimenting.

I know how painful it is to sleep on your side when you have hip bursitis. Try sleeping on your back or placing a soft pillow between your knees to take the pressure off your hip joint. It helped me get some decent sleep.

Hip pain can be so annoying, haan. Don't stand for long hours and try using a cold pack on the painful side, na. If it still hurts after a few days, please consult a good doctor.

I dealt with chronic hip bursitis for months. The key is avoiding sleeping directly on the affected hip and doing gentle physical therapy exercises recommended by a professional. Don't ignore it, a doctor's advice and proper rest are essential for a full recovery.

I was just reading about hip pain because my uncle has it, and apparently, resting and applying ice packs to the side of the hip for 15 minutes can reduce the swelling. Have you been diagnosed by a doctor yet, or is it just a guess?
