How to help hemorrhoid pain?

For a few weeks now, I've had this uncomfortable and sometimes painful sensation during bowel movements, and it feels like there's something there. My neighbor mentioned hemorrhoids. What can I do to help with hemorrhoid pain?

Since I manage PCOS, I try to be very careful with digestion issues and constipation, which can trigger hemorrhoid pain. Increasing fiber through leafy greens and drinking plenty of water has helped me. But it is always best to consult a doctor for a safe treatment plan.

Warm sitz baths (sitting in warm water) can give amazing relief very quickly! 🛁 Also, make sure you don't sit in the washroom for too long. Hope you get some relief soon! 👍

Diet plays a huge role here, so make sure you are getting enough fiber from oats, fruits, and veggies to keep things smooth. Avoid lifting heavy weights at the gym while you have active pain as it increases abdominal pressure. Rest up and let it heal.

I am experiencing this for the first time and I feel very hesitant to talk about it. Is a warm water tub bath safe to try at home, or should I go to a general physician directly? Any gentle advice would help.

This is a very common issue, so please don't feel embarrassed. Sifting in warm water for 15 minutes twice a day and avoiding spicy food will help reduce the swelling. If there is any bleeding, please consult a doctor without delay.

Hey, don't worry, this is nothing to feel awkward about and it happens to many of us. Avoid straining while passing stool and drink lots of fluids. If the pain is sharp or doesn't go away, promise me you'll visit a doctor, okay?

At my age, I have seen that keeping the bowels clear is the only permanent solution. Eating papayas and drinking warm water in the morning helps a lot. Don't let it become chronic; see a doctor if it doesn't improve.
