How to help groin pain?
I've started cycling a lot lately, and now I have this persistent dull ache in my groin area. It's not severe, but it's annoying. How can I relieve this groin pain?

Groin pain is really uncomfortable and tricky to handle. Better to rest fully and consult a physician if it doesn't get better in a day.
If you plan to see a doctor, check if you need an ultrasound or X-ray first so you can budget for it. Some private clinics charge a lot, so doing a bit of research on local lab rates can save you some money. Don't ignore it though, as delaying might lead to bigger medical bills later.
With my busy schedule, I usually try resting and applying a cold pack for 24 hours to see if it is just a minor muscle pull. If the pain doesn't subside, I book an online consultation during my lunch break. Don't keep walking around with it if it is hurting.
Don't listen to people telling you to rub random oils or stretch it out. Groin pain can be due to a hernia, muscle strain, or even lymph nodes, so only a doctor can tell you the real reason. Go get a physical exam done.
I know how frustrating this can be, especially when you are trying to go about your day. Try wearing supportive clothing and avoid sitting in awkward positions. Take it easy and don't push yourself too hard.
When I had groin pain from a gym strain, I just sat on the couch with a bowl of hot biryani and did nothing for two days. Resting definitely helps, but if it's severe, don't just eat through the pain—get it checked by a doc.

Honestly, I panicked so much when I got groin pain, thinking it was something really dangerous. It turned out to be just a simple muscle stretch from climbing stairs too fast. Just rest for a bit, it will most likely settle down, but do see a doc if you are worried.
I literally just recovered from a groin strain last week. Ice packs for the first two days and absolute rest worked wonders for me. But please make sure you don't lift any heavy weights until it completely heals.
