When my kids get painful canker sores, I make them rinse their mouth with warm salt water. It helps clean the area and reduces the pain. Avoid giving them any spicy or sour food until it heals completely.

Applying a tiny dab of honey directly on the sore can really help soothe the burning sensation.

Applying a little bit of pure ghee or fresh coconut oil on the mouth ulcer can cool the area. Make sure to drink plenty of buttermilk to cool your stomach, as body heat often causes these sores.

Canker sores are often linked to vitamin B12 or zinc deficiencies, which can happen if your diet is off. Focus on clean nutrition, stay hydrated, and check if you need a multivitamin supplement.

I used to get frequent mouth ulcers when my thyroid levels were unbalanced. I highly recommend getting a routine blood test and discussing it with your doctor if these sores keep coming back.

Accidentally biting your cheek while eating and then having it turn into a giant canker sore is just peak bad luck. Eating spicy pani puri is definitely out of the question for a week now.

I know how frustrating it is when you can't even enjoy your food because of a tiny, painful spot in your mouth. It really drains your mood. Hang in there, it usually heals in a week; just stick to bland foods.

Don't try applying random household powders or pastes on your ulcers as they can cause chemical burns. It is much safer to ask a doctor or dentist for a proper soothing oral gel.

I used to get these often due to stress and heat. Doing warm salt water rinses three times a day and applying a standard antiseptic mouth gel always clears them up in a few days.

Since I have back-to-back meetings, I use an over-the-counter anesthetic oral gel to numb the sore before speaking. It helps me get through my workday without constant pain.

Avoid spicy, salty, and highly acidic foods like tomatoes or citrus fruits as they will irritate the sore. Stick to cooling vegetarian options like curd rice, which is very gentle on the mouth.

Does anyone else get these super painful sores that make it hard to even talk? I've had one for four days now and it's not shrinking. Should I go to a doctor or just wait?
