How to help arthritis in thumb?

My right thumb has started paining a lot, especially when I'm gripping things. The doc said it looks like arthritis. Is there anything specific that helps with thumb arthritis? It's making daily tasks quite difficult.

I just went through this painful phase where I could not even open a jar or hold a cup properly. Wearing a thumb splint during the night for three weeks gave my joint the complete rest it needed to heal. The swelling is totally gone now and my grip is back.

Look, thumb pain makes daily life very annoying, so stop typing constantly on your phone first. Give that joint some rest and go show an orthopedic doctor. He will probably give you a simple splint and some gel, so just follow that advice quietly.

Our hands do so much work for us throughout our lives, so we must treat them with love when they feel tired. Stay calm and positive, as stress only increases the body's pain. Do gentle hand stretches every morning while sitting peacefully. Take care.

My daughter had terrible pain in her thumb joint from writing continuously during her college exams. We got her a specialized soft thumb brace which she wore while resting, and it really helped stabilize the joint. Please ensure they don't strain the hand during painful flare-ups.

Oh god, thumb pain is the worst, especially with all the texting we do! Don't stress too much about it, okay? Just try soaking your hand in warm water with a little rock salt for ten minutes, it really helps to soothe the joint. Take a break from typing!
