Hey! Honestly, don't stress too much about REM sleep specifically. Just focus on good sleep hygiene generally. Try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day, even weekends. And avoid caffeine late in the day!
While these tips are good, remember that consistent sleep issues should ideally be discussed with a doctor. They can give you personalized advice or check for underlying causes if you're not getting quality sleep. Self-experimentation is good, but professional opinion is best.
I've been reading a lot about this too! Apparently, making sure your bedroom is completely dark and cool helps a lot. And they say screen time before bed is a big no-no for deep sleep cycles. It's tough to follow sometimes!
Oh, this is interesting. I always feel tired even after sleeping for 7-8 hours. Is REM sleep responsible for feeling refreshed? And what if I can't fall asleep easily, does that affect it too?
Namaste. Sometimes just being calm and peaceful before sleeping makes a big difference. Light meditation or just quiet time, thinking of good things, helps the mind settle. Take care of your thoughts, and good sleep will follow.

My doc actually told me that regular exercise during the day, but not too close to bedtime, helps regulate your sleep cycles, including REM. He also said to avoid heavy meals right before bed. It's all about routine, I guess.
Honestly, the only time I consistently get good sleep, including REM I guess, is during holidays when there's no pressure! For us students, it's a dream haha. But yeah, trying to cut down on late-night Netflix does help, I've noticed.
