How to go back to sleep after a nightmare?

I sometimes have really scary nightmares that wake me up. After that, it's impossible to calm down and sleep again. What's the best way to go back to sleep after a nightmare?

It's really tough when that happens, I know. Maybe try getting up for a minute, drink some water, and then go back. Sometimes just breaking the cycle helps.

Aiyo, it's so unsettling when you wake up from a bad dream, ho na? I just try to think about something happy, maybe my kids or a good memory, and then slowly try to drift off again. Don't focus on the dream.

Nightmares can mess up sleep quality big time. I find that a solid workout earlier in the day and avoiding heavy meals before bed helps me sleep deeper. Less chance of nightmares, I feel.

Honestly, best thing is to just get up for five minutes. Go to the washroom, have some water, clear your head. Don't lie there stressing. Then go back to bed, you'll fall asleep faster.

Oh no! 😟 That's the worst feeling! I usually put on some super calm, soft music or just some white noise. It helps distract my brain from whatever scary thing I just saw. Hope you get some peaceful sleep! 😴

Nightmares can really disturb your whole day. I remember once I kept having them due to stress. If it becomes frequent, sometimes sleep issues can be a sign of other things. Not saying u need expensive tests, but maybe talk to a family doc.

Listen, if this is happening often, don't just ignore it. I once thought my constant fatigue was normal, turned out it was a bigger issue. Nightmares can be linked to stress or other health stuff. Just get it checked once with a general physician, better safe than sorry.

It's totally normal to feel anxious after a nightmare and struggle to sleep again. When it happens to me, I try to remind myself it's just a dream, not real. A few deep breaths really help calm my mind.

Hmm, after a nightmare, I sometimes feel like a small comfort food, but that's not good for sleep! Instead, I just try to remember what I had for dinner. Sometimes heavy or spicy food can trigger weird dreams for me, so I avoid that late at night.

Bro, happens to me too sometimes. What I do is just scroll through my phone for like 5 mins, something chill like memes or short videos. Distracts my brain from the scary dream. Then switch off and try to sleep again.
