Sore throat pain can be quite bothersome. Gargling with warm salt water several times a day is a classic and very effective remedy. Also, drinking warm liquids like honey-lemon tea or clear soups can soothe it. Make sure to get plenty of rest and avoid irritants like smoke. If the pain is severe, lasts long, or comes with fever, it's always best to see a doctor.
For sore throat pain, a lot of remedies involve honey, but as a diabetic, I have to be careful with sugar intake. Warm salt water gargles are excellent and safe. I also find relief from warm herbal teas (sugar-free, of course) or plain warm water. Avoiding anything too cold or too hot helps too. If it's persistent or severe, it's important to consult a doctor, especially to rule out any infection.
Sore throat pain is disruptive, especially when you have deadlines. The quickest relief I find is gargling with warm salt water repeatedly throughout the day. Honey and ginger tea (warm, not hot) also helps soothe. Over-the-counter throat lozenges can temporarily numb the pain. But if it lasts more than a couple of days or is severe, I make sure to see a doctor, because you can't afford to be sick for long.
For sore throat pain, the most practical and effective thing we do at home is gargling with warm water mixed with a bit of salt and a pinch of turmeric powder. Do it a few times a day. Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of warm fluids like ginger tea or just plain warm water. Avoid cold drinks completely. Rest is also very important. If it doesn't get better in 2-3 days, then it's time for the doctor.
Sore throat pain, ugh, that's the worst! I was just researching remedies for this because I get it often. It seems like gargling with salt water is the most popular advice. Also, drinking lots of warm liquids like herbal tea or chicken broth. Does anyone find that lozenges actually help, or are they just a temporary distraction?

I literally just recovered from a terrible sore throat last week! What helped me immensely was constant warm salt water gargles, seriously like every 2-3 hours. I also drank a concoction of warm water with honey, ginger, and a little bit of turmeric. And lots of rest, avoiding talking too much. It took about 3-4 days to feel completely normal, but these things really soothed the pain.
