How to get rid of serious dandruff?

My scalp has become so itchy and flaky lately, it's really embarrassing. I've tried a few anti-dandruff shampoos from the market, but nothing seems to make a difference. What's the best way to get rid of this serious dandruff?

Yaar, serious dandruff is the worst, especially with dark clothes! Actually, sometimes it's not just dryness, but a fungal thing. Try a good anti-dandruff shampoo with ketoconazole, but use it properly, like leaving it on for 5 mins. If it's still there, then see a dermatologist, haan?

My thyroid condition sometimes affects my hair and skin too, including scalp dryness. It's worth checking if you have any underlying health issues. A general health check-up, including thyroid function, might be a good idea if the dandruff is very persistent, along with seeing a skin specialist.

Oh no, serious dandruff would make me so anxious! I'd be constantly worrying about flakes and itching. Please don't let it stress you out too much, but do get it checked. Sometimes stress itself can make these things worse, so try to stay calm and find a good doctor.

Welcome to the club of flaky scalps! For serious dandruff, medicated shampoos are usually the first line of defense. Look for ingredients like selenium sulfide or ketoconazole. Use it 2-3 times a week, leaving it on for a few minutes before rinsing. If it doesn't improve, a visit to a dermatologist is a must. They can identify the exact type of dandruff and prescribe stronger treatment. Don't scratch too much!

From a practical standpoint, severe dandruff often indicates an overgrowth of yeast on the scalp. Look for shampoos containing active ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione. Use as directed, usually twice a week. If no improvement in 2-4 weeks, please see a dermatologist for a stronger prescription or diagnosis.

Serious dandruff? Sounds like your scalp is not having a good time! While you're working on the medical side, remember that what you eat also impacts skin health. Less sugar, more greens and good fats might help from the inside. But definitely get a dermatologist's opinion for actual treatment, then you can plan your 'scalp-friendly' meals!

Haan, severe dandruff toh badi mushkil hai. Sabse pehle, doctor ko dikhao na? Pharmacy se koi bhi shampoo uthane se pehle. Sometimes it's not just dryness, could be fungal. Neem oil bhi try kar sakte ho, but with doctor's approval. Thoda patience rakho.

Hey, don't stress too much about it, yaar! Dandruff is super common. For serious ones, sometimes home remedies don't cut it. Just go to a derm, they'll give you a proper shampoo or lotion. You'll be fine in no time, promise!

For 'serious' dandruff, I would definitely suggest seeing a dermatologist. It could be something like seborrheic dermatitis, which needs specific treatment, not just any shampoo. It's always safer to get a professional opinion, especially if it's bothering you a lot.

You know, health is all connected. When I had BP issues, doc also told me about general well-being. Dandruff can sometimes be a sign of stress or poor diet. So along with specific hair care, look at your overall lifestyle, get good sleep, and definitely get a checkup if it's severe.

Hello, I also have really bad dandruff sometimes. Does hair oil make it worse? I heard some people say it does, but others say it helps. And how often should one wash their hair with medicated shampoo?

Ugh, dandruff is so embarrassing, especially in college! I used to wear caps all the time. My roommate swears by tea tree oil shampoos, but if yours is 'serious' like you said, maybe a trip to a doc is better. No fun having flaky shoulders!

I generally love home remedies, like diluted apple cider vinegar rinse or neem oil. But if it's really serious and itchy, causing hairfall, or doesn't go away with these, then please don't experiment. A dermatologist can prescribe proper medicated shampoos or creams. Better safe than sorry!

For serious dandruff, I'd say invest in a good dermatologist visit first. Yes, it costs money, but it's better than spending endlessly on shampoos that don't work. Ask about generic options for medicines if they prescribe something expensive. Plan your budget for a proper solution.
