How to get rid of sciatic nerve pain?

I've been having this shooting pain down my leg, starting from my lower back, for weeks now. It's so debilitating and makes it hard to walk or even sit comfortably. My physio said it's sciatic nerve pain. What are the best ways to get rid of sciatic nerve pain?

Oh god, sciatic pain is the absolute worst! I totally get it, it can be so debilitating. For me, gentle stretching and applying hot packs helped a bit to manage the immediate discomfort. Hope you find relief soon, it's really tough to deal with.

Honestly, be very careful with internet advice for something like sciatic pain. What works for one person might make it worse for another. It's best to see a doctor or a physiotherapist to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Don't risk it with random remedies.

Hi, I'm new here and also sometimes get this kind of pain. Is sciatica pain always in the leg or can it be in the back too? I'm not sure if what I feel is the same thing, so I was wondering. It sounds really painful from what everyone says.

Often, pain like this can have underlying causes, you know. Like with my thyroid, I learned that everything is connected. Have you had a full body checkup recently? Sometimes deficiencies or other conditions can contribute. Always good to discuss with your doctor.

Hello ji, for sciatic pain, first things first, see a doctor to confirm it's actually sciatica and not something else. Then, usually, physiotherapy, specific stretches, and sometimes even hot/cold compresses help a lot. Don't lift heavy things and try to maintain good posture. Take care!
