How to get rid of really bad dandruff?

My scalp has been super itchy and flaky lately, I mean really bad dandruff, not just normal. No matter what shampoo I use, it just comes back. Any home remedies or specific products that can help me get rid of this awful dandruff for good?

Oh no, bad dandruff can be so embarrassing and itchy! I know how frustrating it feels. Have you tried a good anti-dandruff shampoo from a pharmacy? Sometimes a medicated one really helps calm things down.

My son used to have very bad dandruff. We tried several things, but what worked best was a shampoo prescribed by his pediatrician, and making sure he rinsed his hair properly. Also, not letting his hair stay wet for too long after washing.

Really bad dandruff is the worst, it makes me so self-conscious. Does anyone else get super itchy, like it's impossible to stop scratching? I keep wondering if it's more than just dandruff.

For mild dandruff, diluted apple cider vinegar rinse or neem oil can sometimes help. But if it's really bad, like you said, with redness or scaling, then it's always best to see a dermatologist. Don't delay.

Sometimes dandruff can be linked to overall skin health. While exercise won't cure it, a healthy lifestyle including regular activity helps your body function better, which can indirectly improve skin conditions. But for 'really bad' dandruff, doc ka advice is essential.

Stay positive, sister, these things can be managed. Focus on gentle care for your scalp. Sometimes stress can make these conditions worse, so try to find ways to relax. And if it's severe, don't hesitate to consult a good doctor.
