How to get rid of plaque psoriasis?

I have these red, scaly patches on my elbows and knees that my dermatologist diagnosed as plaque psoriasis. It's very itchy and sometimes flakes. What are the best ways to get rid of plaque psoriasis or at least control it significantly?

My son has plaque psoriasis too. We found that regular moisturizing with a good, thick cream helps a lot to keep the skin from drying and flaking. The doctor also prescribed a specific ointment, which we use diligently. Consistency is key, beti.

Dude, it's not really about 'getting rid' completely, it's more about managing it. I have it too. My derm gave me some steroid creams and a special shampoo for my scalp. Sunlight helps me a bit, but not too much. Don't scratch, that just makes it worse.

Plaque psoriasis management often involves a multi-pronged approach as per my dermatologist. Topical corticosteroids are commonly prescribed for active flare-ups. Phototherapy, where controlled UV light is used, can also be very effective for larger areas. Regular hydration and identifying triggers are also crucial.

Psoriasis can be tricky. My nani used to suggest applying aloe vera gel for soothing and also neem oil sometimes, but very carefully, just a little. These are only for comfort, beta. For proper treatment, you must go to a skin specialist and follow their advice properly.

Hey! It's a common struggle. What helped me a lot was using gentle, fragrance-free products for everything – soap, lotion, detergent. And managing stress is a big factor, seriously. Try some meditation or gentle yoga, it really makes a difference for the skin.

Getting rid of it completely? If only! I spend half my nights scratching. Honestly, I try to follow what the doc says with creams and everything, but finding what triggers it (stress, lack of sleep for sure!) and avoiding those helps the most. It's a journey, not a sprint.

Plaque psoriasis? More like 'plaque a-lot-of-annoyance-is'. Ha ha! But seriously, it's a chronic thing. The best way to deal with it is to find a good skin doctor who knows their stuff. And try to stay cool, stress makes everything worse, even skin conditions!
