Instant relief for severe period pain can sometimes be a sign to get things checked out. While a hot water bag helps, if the pain is really debilitating or new, it's always best to consult a doctor. Don't ignore persistent intense pain.

I also get really bad pain. Does drinking warm water with ajwain (carom seeds) really help instantly? I heard about it but not sure if it works fast enough. My cramps are so sudden sometimes.

For instant relief, it's best to discuss options with your gynecologist. My wife's doctor at Apollo suggested certain mild medications to take at the very first sign of pain. Don't self-medicate, but ask your doctor clearly for what works fastest for you.

If period pain is very severe and always needs instant relief, it might be a good idea to check your hormone levels. I have a thyroid condition and my period pain used to be unbearable before I got it managed. A doctor can guide you on what tests might be needed.

Yaar, instant is a tough one! But honestly, a good painkiller (the one your doc suggests) taken right when it starts can work fast. Also, try lying down with a hot water bottle. Don't stress too much, it'll pass!
