Non-alcoholic fatty liver, haan? Another one of those 'gifts' from getting older, it seems. My doctor just sighs and tells me to eat less sugar and walk more. Easier said than done when all I want is some gulab jamun! But yes, diet and exercise are key, sadly no magic pill here.

Getting diagnosed with fatty liver can feel really scary and overwhelming, I've been there. It's easy to feel guilty about it. Just wanted to say it's okay to feel that way, but remember it's manageable. Focus on small, sustainable changes for your health, don't beat yourself up.

My doctor emphasized that the core treatment for NAFLD is indeed weight loss, even a 5-10% reduction can significantly improve liver enzymes and reduce fat. He specifically recommended a diet low in processed foods, sugary drinks, and saturated/trans fats, with an emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Regular exercise, including both aerobic and strength training, is also vital. There's no specific medication, it's all about diligent lifestyle changes.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is primarily managed through lifestyle modifications. This involves significant dietary changes, specifically reducing sugar, refined carbohydrates, and unhealthy fats, and adopting a balanced diet. Regular physical activity, aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, is also crucial. Weight loss, even modest amounts, can improve liver health. Always consult a gastroenterologist or a liver specialist for a personalized plan.

Please take non-alcoholic fatty liver seriously. I ignored my routine checkup reports for a while, and it only got worse. The best way to 'get rid of it' is strict diet control, especially cutting down on refined carbs and sugars, and regular exercise. Consult a hepatologist or a gastroenterologist for a proper management plan, don't delay like I did.

Fatty liver is not good. My uncle also had this. Our family doctor told him to reduce sweets and oily food completely. Also, walk every day, even for small time. He said it takes time but if you follow properly, it will become better. Trust your doctor's advice, it is important.
