How to get rid of lump in throat after vomiting?

Last night I had a really bad bout of vomiting, and ever since, it feels like there's a lump stuck in my throat. It's making it hard to swallow and is very uncomfortable. How can I get rid of this feeling?

After vomiting, the throat can feel quite irritated and swollen, causing that lump sensation. Try some gentle breathing exercises, focusing on slow, deep inhales and exhales to relax the muscles. Siping on warm water or herbal tea can also soothe the throat. Avoid anything acidic for a while.

Oh no, that's such an unpleasant feeling! 🤢 Try sipping on cool water very slowly, or maybe some plain ice chips to soothe your throat. Gargling with salt water might also help if your throat feels scratchy. Hope you feel better soon! 😊

Ugh, that's the absolute worst feeling after throwing up! It happened to me once. What helped was slowly drinking cool water and avoiding talking too much. Also, a plain throat lozenge might help coat it. But if it doesn't go away or feels weird, definitely talk to a doctor, okay?

That 'lump in throat' feeling after vomiting is often due to acid reflux irritating the esophagus, or muscle strain from the act of vomiting itself. Try small sips of water, avoid spicy or acidic foods for a while, and if possible, elevate your head slightly when lying down. If it persists or you have difficulty swallowing, it's best to consult a doctor to rule out any injury or inflammation.

After vomiting, the throat feels very bad. For the lump, try to drink warm water slowly. You can also gargle with warm salt water, it's very cheap and effective. If it stays for a long time, or you get fever, then you must see a doctor. Don't let it become a big problem and incur more expenses later.
