I'm not a doctor, so can't give advice, but personally, when my lower leg hurts from standing too much, elevating my legs for a bit and a gentle massage with some muscle rub helps. Sometimes a warm soak works too. It's just what I do, not saying it's for everyone.

For immediate lower leg pain, R.I.C.E. protocol (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) can be very effective if it's due to a strain or mild injury. Over-the-counter pain relievers can also help. However, if the pain is severe, sudden, accompanied by swelling, numbness, or changes in skin color, it's crucial to consult a doctor immediately to rule out serious conditions like DVT or fractures.

Okay, so for quick relief, if it's a muscle cramp, try gently stretching the muscle and maybe some electrolyte-rich fluids like coconut water. If it's just tired muscles, a hot water bag or a topical pain relief gel can work wonders. But if it's persistent, or feels like a deep ache, especially if one leg is swollen or red, please go see a doctor, don't wait.

I've tried everything for leg pain – hot fomentation, cold compress, massaging with various oils. For immediate, but temporary, relief, I find elevating my legs for 15-20 minutes really helps, along with applying a pain relief balm. If it's a cramp, drinking some ORS or coconut water sometimes makes it go away fast. But for long-term solution, I had to see a physio.

Sometimes leg cramps or pain can be due to mineral deficiencies, especially potassium or magnesium. I make sure to include plenty of bananas, spinach, and nuts in my vegetarian diet. Staying hydrated is also key. For immediate relief, sometimes just a warm bath with Epsom salts helps. But if it's a constant pain, then a doctor should check your vitamin levels.
