How to get rid of horrible dandruff?

My dandruff is really bad, like horrible, and flakes are always visible, especially on my dark clothes. It's so embarrassing and my scalp is always itchy. What are some really effective ways to get rid of horrible dandruff for good?

If it is really horrible, oily flakes, stop applying heavy hair oils immediately as it feeds the fungus. Buy a ketoconazole-based medicated shampoo, leave it on your scalp for 5 minutes before rinsing, and use it twice a week.

I tracked my scalp health and noticed my dandruff flares up when my sugar intake is high and sleep is poor. Keeping track of your diet and using an anti-dandruff shampoo containing zinc pyrithione really helps.

Haan na, dandruff is so frustrating, especially when wearing black clothes. I started washing my hair comb daily and using a mild neem-based shampoo, and it helped clear up the mild itching.

My scalp gets very flaky and oily due to my PCOS hormone fluctuations. I can't say what will work for you, but using a gentle salicylic acid scalp serum has helped me keep the build-up under control.

A diet high in refined flour and sugar can promote fungal growth on the scalp. Include more zinc-rich foods like pumpkin seeds and curd in your vegetarian meals to support your scalp health from inside.

I went to a reputed hospital for my scalp scaling issues and the specialist explained that severe flakes need a targeted steroid lotion for a short time. Please consult a proper doctor to get a correct diagnosis.

Stress from high BP and work often triggers these skin issues for me. Make sure you get regular health checkups and try to manage stress levels, as a weak immune system can make dandruff much worse.

Hey bro, don't stress too much about it! Dandruff happens to almost everyone, just wash your hair regularly after working out and don't let sweat sit on your scalp.

In our family, we apply sour curd or neem water to the scalp to soothe itching. But for severe, thick dandruff, I highly recommend consulting a dermatologist who can check if it is seborrheic dermatitis.

You don't need to spend thousands on expensive spa treatments. Just get a standard medicated dandruff shampoo from your local chemist, wash your hair thrice a week, and keep your towels clean.
