How to get rid of gestational diabetes?

My sister was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy. She's really stressed about it and wants to know if there's any way to completely get rid of it, or at least manage it really well, before and after delivery.

Managing this while working is hard, but prep your meals on Sunday. Focus on high protein and portion control during office hours. Tracking your post-meal walking time is super critical to keep levels stable.

I know it feels overwhelming trying every herb or seed people suggest, but honestly, only strict portion control and monitoring worked for me during my pregnancy. Keep your meals simple, eat more green veggies, and follow your gynecologist's diet chart exactly.

Just like managing high blood pressure, gestational diabetes requires consistent tracking and lifestyle adjustments. Make sure you don't skip your regular sugar checkups and follow the doctor's plan closely for the baby's safety.

Absolutely agree, eating small meals every 2-3 hours instead of three large ones helps avoid sudden blood sugar spikes.

Gestational diabetes usually goes away after childbirth, but you must monitor it daily till then. Focus on complex carbohydrates and moderate walks after meals. If lifestyle changes don't keep it in range, your doctor might prescribe safe medications, so stay in regular touch with them.

I just got my glucose test reports and they are slightly high. I am feeling so stressed and worried about the baby now. Did anyone else manage to control it easily just with diet, or did you have to take insulin?

My wife had this during her third trimester. We just cut out white rice and simple carbs completely and replaced them with ragi and oats. It was tough but her sugar levels came back to normal right after delivery.

Haan, bilkul ghabrao mat, yeh bahut common hai aajkal. Just sweet craving pe control rakho aur thodi light walking zaroor karo khaane ke baad. Doctor ki baat manogi toh sab badhiya se manage ho jayega, tension mat lo na.
