How to get rid of gas pain in back?

Lately, I've been feeling a strange, persistent pain in my back, which my aunt says might be gas. It's not a muscle ache, it feels different. How can I differentiate and get rid of gas pain in my back?

Gas pain radiating to the back is usually just trapped wind in your colon. Drink some hot water, walk around, and try the child's pose (balasana) to stretch it out. It works quickly.

If your doctor hasn't restricted movement, gentle walking is the best way to get your digestive system moving and clear back gas. You can also try a few light torso twists to help release the trapped air.

Please try putting a warm heating pad on your lower back. It can really help relax the tensed muscles and ease the pressure. Take care.

I am feeling a strange, dull ache in my middle back right after having lunch. Can gas actually travel to the back, or should I be worried about something else?

Please be careful. What I thought was just 'gas pain' in my back turned out to be a gallbladder infection. If the pain is sharp, doesn't go away with walking, or is on the right side, please see a doctor immediately.

Agreed on the heating pad tip. It always relieves my back-pressure within fifteen minutes.
