I have been experiencing a dull, radiating pain in my elbow for the past three days and I am getting so anxious. Does anyone else feel like their arm is losing strength because of this? Should I get an X-ray done immediately or wait for a doctor's advice?

Repetitive strain leading to elbow pain can often be managed by improving our daily habits and posture. Make sure your overall health parameters, like blood pressure, are in check, and take regular breaks during work. Consulting a doctor will help rule out any nerve compression issues.

At my age, minor aches and pains in the elbow are common occurrences from simple overexertion. Rest the hand for a couple of days and apply a warm compress to relax the muscles. Don't worry too much, but if the pain is severe, do visit a doctor.

You can apply a paste of warm turmeric and mustard oil to soothe a mild muscle sprain in your elbow. However, if there is visible swelling, numbness in your fingers, or severe pain, please go to a doctor immediately. Do not rely on home tips for serious joint or nerve pain.

For elbow pain, try to identify if it hurts on the inner side (golfer's elbow) or the outer side (tennis elbow). Avoid repetitive wrist extensions and apply ice packs to reduce localized inflammation. An over-the-counter pain relief gel can help, but see a doctor if the pain persists for more than a week.

Our bodies sometimes ask us to slow down through these physical pains. Rest your arm gently, keep a calm mind, and apply warm sesame oil to soothe the joint. Trust your body's natural capacity to heal, and consult a doctor for proper guidance.

Stop ignoring elbow pain and assuming it will just go away. It is usually a repetitive strain injury from poor ergonomics or lifting weights incorrectly. Wear an elbow sleeve for support and book an appointment with a physiotherapist or orthopedist to get it diagnosed properly.
