How to get rid of cavities without fillings?

I have a small cavity, and I'd prefer not to get a filling if possible. Is there any way to get rid of cavities without fillings, perhaps by remineralization or other methods?

I totally get wanting to avoid fillings, but once a cavity forms a physical hole, there is no other way to seal it. If it is just a very early white spot, sometimes fluoridated toothpaste can help, but do ask your dentist first.

Honestly, a filling is not even a big deal. I got one done last month and it literally took 10 minutes. Trying to fix it without fillings just doesn't work once the tooth has decayed.

I agree with the others. If there is an actual cavity, a filling is the only way to stop food from getting trapped and causing more decay.

If you don't have time for fillings now, you will have to make time for a root canal later, which takes multiple visits. A quick filling takes just one short appointment. Better to get it over with quickly.

We can use natural gargles and healthy diet to keep our gums clean, but physical tooth decay cannot be reversed without clinical help. Please accept the treatment your dentist suggests for the health of your teeth.

I tried to ignore my cavity and avoided a simple filling, thinking it would heal. It got infected, caused severe facial swelling, and I had to go through an expensive extraction. Please just get the filling done safely.

I am so scared of getting fillings done and keep hoping there is another way. Did anyone else manage to stop a tiny cavity just with better brushing, or did you absolutely have to get a filling?
