How to get rid of built up dandruff?

My scalp has been so flaky lately, and I can actually feel this thick buildup of dandruff. I've tried a few shampoos, but nothing seems to properly get rid of it. Any effective tips?

No need to spend money on expensive hair spas. Just use a good over-the-counter Ketoconazole shampoo twice a week, and leave it on your scalp for 5 minutes before washing. Avoid oiling your hair when you have active dandruff, as it makes the buildup worse.

Dandruff buildup can be so annoying! 💆‍♀️ Try washing your hair regularly with a mild anti-dandruff shampoo and avoid scratching your scalp. Hope your hair feels fresh and clean soon!

I completely agree that keeping the scalp clean is key. Diluted apple cider vinegar rinse after shampooing works wonders to clear the buildup.

Bro, honestly, stop applying heavy hair wax or gels, they just collect dust and cause massive dandruff buildup. Switch to a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week and wash your hair with normal water, not hot water.

My hormonal changes with PCOS often trigger oily scalp issues and stubborn dandruff. I find salicylic acid scalp scrubs helpful, but it is best to consult a dermatologist if your scalp is red or itchy, to rule out any fungal infection.
