How to get rid of arthritis in back?

My back has been constantly stiff and painful, especially in the mornings. The family doctor mentioned it might be arthritis in the back. Is there anything I can do to ease this specific pain?

My lower back stiffness was diagnosed as spinal arthritis five years ago. Personally, switching to a firm orthopedic mattress and doing core-strengthening exercises under a trainer's eye are the only things that kept me moving normally.

Back arthritis is a chronic condition that requires a proper plan from an orthopedic doctor and a physiotherapist.

There were days I couldn't even bend down to tie my shoes, and it made me feel so old and useless. It is emotionally exhausting to deal with back pain every single day. Please be gentle with yourself, you are not alone in this struggle.

My uncle has back arthritis and he swears by gentle swimming sessions. He says the water support takes all the pressure off his spine, making it much easier to move without pain.

Instead of immediately opting for expensive physiotherapy packages at big rehab centers, see a doctor at a government or charitable hospital first. They can write down the exact back exercises you need, which you can easily practice at home for free.

I am also experiencing constant stiffness in my lower back lately and I am a bit worried. Does back arthritis always require long-term medications, or can it be managed just with daily stretching and exercises?

Simple rule for back issues: do not sit in slouching positions on the sofa for hours. Use a chair with good lumbar support, walk for 20 minutes daily, and get your Vitamin D levels checked because weakness there makes joint pain much worse.
