I often pay the price with stomach aches after binging on oily street food. Sipping warm water with a bit of hing or ginger helps ease the bloating. But if the pain is severe, I immediately stop eating heavy foods and check with a doctor.

If it is just mild gas or indigestion pain, drinking warm fennel or mint water can really soothe your tummy. However, if the pain is very sharp, continuous, or on the lower right side, please don't ignore it and consult a doctor immediately.

Whenever I get a sudden sharp pain in my stomach, I start worrying if it's appendicitis or something serious. I find that applying a warm heating pad helps calm my nerves and the muscle spasm. But please see a doctor if the pain doesn't subside quickly.

I had severe stomach cramps last month which I thought was just indigestion, but it turned out to be a mild food infection. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and probiotic drinks. Don't let it drag on if the pain is persistent.

I literally just recovered from a severe stomach infection two days ago. If your stomach pain is accompanied by vomiting, fever, or loose motions, go to a doctor immediately. Do not try self-medicating because you might need specific antibiotics.

Ah, our stomachs aren't as strong as they were in our twenties! For simple gas pain, a walk or some ajwain with warm water works wonders. But if the pain is making you double over, skip the home remedies and head to a clinic.
