How to get rid of a bad migraine?

I've been getting really bad migraines lately, the kind where I can't even open my eyes. My usual pain relief isn't doing much. Any effective ways to get rid of a really strong migraine?

In my experience, as soon as I feel the aura starting, I take my doctor's prescribed pill and lie down in a pitch-black, silent room. Putting an ice pack on my forehead also helps numb the throbbing pain. That is what usually works for me.

Keep a check on your triggers like strong smells, direct sunlight, or skipped meals. If you are having more than 3-4 severe attacks a month, you should consult a doctor for preventive medications rather than just taking painkillers, which can cause rebound headaches.

Applying a paste of sandalwood on the forehead or drinking warm water with ginger can help soothe the nausea that comes with migraine. However, you must also maintain a regular sleeping schedule. If the pain is too severe, please consult a medical doctor.

Drinking a cup of warm ginger tea can sometimes help reduce the throbbing pain and nausea naturally. But if your migraine is accompanied by slurred speech, confusion, or a sudden stiff neck, please seek emergency medical care immediately.

I used to get terrible migraines from staring at my laptop all day. Switching on night-shield mode and taking regular breaks helped reduce the frequency. But during a bad attack, resting in a dark room is the only real fix.

Haan na, migraine pain can completely ruin your entire day, you can't even open your eyes. I just apply some balm and try to sleep it off in a quiet room. If it gets too intense, please don't suffer and consult your doctor.
